Waxing

Waxing in the town is a much-loved technique, as it consists of temporarily removing hair from the root. This technique makes hair take approximately 20 days to 1 month to grow back and, in addition, it weakens the hair, making it thinner and grow less. The benefits that proper waxing can provide are that the follicle will weaken and the hair will grow back thinner each time, with a softening effect; you will feel softer skin and it prevents folliculitis, as wax removes hair from the root.

At Viva Spa we use Depilarte brand wax, which is special for sensitive skin, thus avoiding irritations and allergies; after waxing, an aloe vera gel is applied to hydrate the waxed area and help the pores close. This service, which we perform at the waxing spa in El Poblado, is highly requested by our clients, as our cosmetologists are experts in applying and removing the product, ensuring it is not a very traumatic experience.

Recommendations:

After waxing care: It is important that 24 hours after waxing, we avoid high-temperature water, as the follicles are open and it can cause irritation. It is not recommended to sunbathe in pools or go to the sea, as the area can become stained; it is advisable not to go to the gym that day, as sweat can cause folliculitis and irritation.

• Do not shave for approximately 8 days, the hair should be at least half a centimeter long.
• After waxing, apply a gel or moisturizer.
• Waxing of the upper lip and armpits is not performed individually; it must be done in conjunction with waxing another area of the body or another service.
