Waxing

Waxing village is a much-loved technique, as it consists of temporarily removing hair from its root. This technique makes hair take approximately between 20 days and 1 month to grow back, and also makes hair weaken, become thinner, and grow less. The benefits that adequate waxing can bring us are that the follicle will weaken and the hair will come out thinner and thinner, with a softening effect; you will feel softer skin and it prevents folliculitis, as the wax removes hair from the root.

At Viva Spa we use Depilarte brand wax, special for sensitive skin, thus avoiding irritations and allergies. After waxing, an aloe vera gel is applied to hydrate the waxed area and help the pores close. This service, which we perform at our waxing spa in El Poblado, is highly requested by our clients as our cosmetologists are experts in applying and removing the product, ensuring it is not a very traumatic experience.

Recommendations:

After hair removal care; it is important that 24 hours after hair removal we avoid water at high temperatures since the follicles are open and can cause irritation. It is not recommended to sunbathe by the pool or go to the sea as the area can become stained. It is advisable not to go to the gym that day as sweat can cause folliculitis and irritation.

• Do not shave for approximately 8 days, the hair should be at least half a centimeter long.
• After waxing, apply a gel or moisturizer.
• Waxing of the upper lip and armpits is not performed individually; it must be done in conjunction with waxing another area of the body or another service.
