Acne occurs due to the large amount of dead cells and oil that accumulate on the skin clogging pores. It usually occurs most often in areas such as the face, back, chest, neck, and arms.
This can be caused by several factors:
HEREDITARY FACTOR: If in your family history mother or father there were cases in which you suffered from acne, it is more likely that you will suffer from it at some point in your life. This type of condition that predisposes the skin to be more vulnerable is thought to be passed on genetically.
HORMONAL CHANGES: We are all predisposed to develop acne at the stage of puberty, due to the activation of the sebaceous glands and the hormonal imbalance produced at this age, which can cause greater secretion of oil in the skin. However, hormonal changes can occur at any stage of our lives.
OIL PRODUCTION: The oils produced by the skin help to keep it hydrated and protect us from external factors, the problem is, when this production is exaggerated, that is, they produce more than what the body needs and gives the skin a shiny and dirty appearance. With this lack of control in the sebaceous glands, there is a notable increase in fat, especially in the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin).
If your case is moderate acne where there are basically pimples, blackheads and comedones, here we will mention how to eliminate it in a natural way and without drugs:
1. Eat healthy: this way you will be able to fight acne from within and it will be easier to manage, try to consume fresh vegetables and fruits, fiber, foods rich in vitamins (A, C, E and Zinc). Increase consumption of sweet red peppers, spinach, pumpkin, mango and melon; They can help you due to the anti-inflammatory properties they have.
2. Acquire good grooming habits: If your skin is prone to oiliness, it is very important that you have a grooming routine, that you do it daily and that you avoid using chemical products that are often made with components that will irritate your skin more. This is why it is important to:
- Choose a line of all-natural products (so you don't run the risk of irritating your skin further)
- Wash your face two to three times a day (you will prevent too much oil and dirt from accumulating on your skin)
- Remove makeup daily before going to sleep and wear makeup recommended for oily skin (this will give the pores a chance to oxygenate)
- Exfoliate your skin once or twice a week (this will prevent too many dead cells from accumulating and clogging pores)
- Use a mask twice a week, one that is recommended for oily skin or better use homemade formulas (this accelerates the cell regeneration process and will placate your acne)
- Avoid touching your face and removing pimples (so that you don't make the situation worse because we often do it with very dirty hands and they can get infected)
3. Determine what type of acne you suffer from: In order for you to be able to give it the best management according to your case, you must determine what type of acne you are suffering from and whether it needs help from a professional or not. If you have whiteheads (closed comedones that appear when dirt and excess oil remain under the skin), blackheads (open comedones, the skin opens allowing dirt to rise to the surface, in most cases these have a dark color due to the oxidation process), pimples or pustules (occur when dirt stays under the skin and it becomes irritated and inflamed causing skin lesions), nodules (hard, large and inflamed form very deep in the skin) and cysts (they are painful and filled with pus, usually scarring the skin once they are drained due to their depth).
